2010 San Francisco – Oracle Open World

The good people in Comcast shipped me out to San Francisco to attend Oracle Open World, I had not been to the Bay area in a long time and it was great to be back.  While there was a lot of time hanging out with the work crowd I also got to see the Sanfords and Vaughan/Bernardo. The Vaugna-ardo ranch was really cool and I got to hang with Bernardo more than I had in the past.

I would love to get back for longer next time, we did lots of good food, lots of good booze but I was a bit far outside the city. As I got onto the program really late all hotels in the city were gone, so I would start the morning walking a mile or two from my hotel to the pier in Sausalito, hop a boat to Pier 41 and then walk up the hill to Moscone Center. Nick’s hotel was a part of the conference and he was good enough to let me keep a change of clothes in his room, so I would go there, shower and hit the convention floor.
